We can also help you with online shopping if you need some support to achieve this. Sadly, at this time of year we need to be extra vigilant about scams. Friends against Scams is a national initiative which aims to protect all of us from becoming victims. If you have access to a tablet or computer they offer online training. It helps you find out more about scams and how you can protect yourself and others from becoming a victim. Their website also offers a host of information about different types of scams. If you aren’t online but are worried and need some advice please phone your local Citizens Advice Bureau.
driving to the shops
The clocks have gone back and the evenings are suddenly feeling very wintery. It always feels a shock to be plunged into these dark night doesn’t it? If you are still driving yourself to the shops are you confident about driving in the dark? If you’re not sure your eyes are up to it then always best to err on the side of caution. And if you haven’t had an eye test recently then maybe it’s a good time to book that in. The DVLA states that it’s illegal to drive if you can’t read a number plate from a distance of 20 metres.
