Time to spring clean your home?
It’s never too late to get started on your Spring Cleaning! Isn’t it lovely to have the warmer weather, the chance to get the windows and doors open and let in some fresh air? It’s a great time of year to do things that aren’t part of your usual cleaning routine. The experts say it’s best to break down the jobs into bite-sized tasks rather than trying to tackle a complete deep clean of your home. You might want to think about cleaning the fridge or the cooker. Maybe your bathroom taps and shower heads could do with descaling. Or perhaps you want to get all your bedding cleaned. We have a super deep-cleaner on the Home & Company team if you feel the tasks are too much for you to tackle.
Carpet cleaning
Home & Company also has a carpet cleaner. It can make such a difference and breathes a bit of life into old carpets and rugs.
Beware of moths
A lovely member of our team has reminded us of the perils of moths at this time of year as several of the people she visits are having problems. It’s so infuriating to discover that your favourite jumper has a hole in it! Do remember to regularly check drawers and wardrobes and renew herbal sachets, moth traps and deterrent tablets. Other recommendations include vacuuming regularly, avoid overcrowding your clothing storage and give your cupboards, drawers and wardrobes a Spring clean. A client recently phoned in with another top tip. She says “put your woollens in plastic bags and place in the freezer for two weeks”. Decluttering
Most of us will admit to having the odd overflowing drawer that we never get around to clearing. But for some of us the problem just gets worse year on year. If you would like help with tackling clutter that’s built up over time do give us a ring. We’ve got a number of people on our team who really enjoy decluttering and we’ve had success helping lots of clients over the years. Or it might be that you’d like help getting your photos into albums or sorting your bookshelves. Whatever the issue, we’d love to help you get it get ticked off.
Windows
We don’t know about you, but our windows look terrible now that the sun is shining! Do your windows need cleaning? Our lovely window cleaning duo, Dave and Gary, can do one-off window cleaning, or a regular slot so that you don’t have to think about it again. They can also give your paths and patios a great spruce with the jet washer. Do give us a ring to book.
