live in care

If you want to remain in your own home but have significant care needs due to dementia, limited mobility or ill health, or would just prefer the reassurance and companionship of someone else in the house then live-in care is a great option.  Live-in care doesn’t have to be permanent. It can also be a great way to provide intensive care in the short-term following illness or discharge from hospital.

Live-in carers aim to support clients to live their lives to the fullest, helping them to maintain their social lives and generally continue with the activities they enjoy.

live-in carers are able to:

assist with toileting, washing and dressing

support with mobility

prepare meals and encourage eating and drinking

laundry and housework

organise or go shopping

provide companionship

administer medication and liaise with health services

oversee simple admin, such as arranging appointments and paying bills

We’ve brought together a team of highly experienced live-in carers to support you to stay living in your own home. We visit everyone and carefully match our clients with the right live-in carers from our team. Live-in placements may have one main carer plus relief carers, or a rotation of carers depending on the preference and the needs of the client. The Home & Company team are on hand to provide ongoing support and guidance to the carers and family.

Your property will need to have a spare bedroom for the carer. Carers will need a break of two hours each day (generally they opt for 2-4pm). If the client can’t be left, then carer breaks must be covered.

For someone with moderate needs (either dementia or limited mobility) the carer fee is £150 per day.

For a couple the carer fee is £185 per day.
We aren’t able to support people with high medical/nursing needs.

Home & Company charges a one-off arrangement of £150 + VAT, and a daily management fee of £30 + VAT (£36) once care commences.

Do give us a call to discuss your needs.
