Emma has spent many years working part time for a well known airline.  Her young family keeps her busy too, but she loves to find time to cook and entertain, get out for the odd run along the seafront, and spend time in her garden.

Briar is a support worker, and has also worked for many years as an office manager for a variety of organisations. She has a young family and enjoys walks and pottering in the garden. She loves cinema and is never happier than when she has a good book on the go!

Aly has worked mainly as a singer and actress and still loves to perform the odd jazz concert. Her daughters are grown up now so she has a bit more time to indulge her passion for going to the theatre. She also loves to read a good book when time allows!

Beccy moved from Hove to Lancing a few years ago to gain a garden and is now an enthusiastic vegetable grower. She has also embarked on cold water swimming and swims in all seasons. She spent many years working for a well known airline, but enjoys working on terra firma these days!

Julia has been supporting people in the community for many years. She has four grown up children and enjoys looking after her grandchildren regularly. In her spare time she loves to travel, garden and bake, in that order!

Amanda has worked in a range of industries from childcare to shipping! She loves yoga, cycling, a good gardening project, poetry and word puzzles. Her friendly terrier, Barty, makes sure she does plenty of walking too.

Manda runs creativity workshops and teaches french and spanish to children. She also has experience of using her creative skills in therapeutic settings. Manda loves drawing, making art and music. She lives with her family and their much loved dog, Elsie.

Anita moved from London to Brighton in the early 2000’s to be near the sea and nature. She is a nurse by background, and also a homeopath with a great interest in holistic health. She loves walking and sea-swimming, cooking, reading and has a keen interest in astrology and astronomy to boot.

Izzie has been supporting adults in the community for twenty years in and around Sussex. She has also worked as an animal welfare officer and absolutely loves animals. She is a dab hand at gardening too and these days splits her times between gardening and supporting people in their homes.

Jessica lives in Brighton with her young family and dog. She loves all things arty, and after art school worked in window dressing. She now makes fabulous feather artworks and jewellery, and has been part of the Open House trail for many years. 

Siobhan has worked as a nanny for many years. She lives with her family and cocker spaniel, Lena. She loves the great outdoors and has competed in several running races. She also enjoys gardening, long walks and holidaying in their caravan.

Amanda runs a well-being company using nature and laughter, and also does chocolate making. She and her Jack Russell, Belle, come as a pair. Belle is a ‘Canine Concern’ doggie and loves giving companionship to those missing a dog in their lives.

Caroline has always loved worked with people whether that be as cabin crew, working in cafes or flower arranging for businesses. She’s at her happiest out walking the dog, but also enjoys a good game of tennis and chatting about books with her book club.

Pippa has worked in journalism and publishing and now runs her own photography business. She loves travel and anything active outdoors.  Sea swimming is a current favourite. She lives with her partner, their two young boys and two cats to boot!

Originally from the Lake District, Jo moved to Sussex in her early twenties. She has spent the majority of her career as cabin crew for a well-known airline. Jo loves to garden, travel, keep fit and walk her lovely labrador, Poppy.

Elma has worked as a pharmacist in the NHS for over 30 years. She has three grown up daughters and loves spending time with them, when she’s not on her allotment that is! She also enjoys cooking, walking and cycling and is a recent convert to crochet.

Jan has a background in coaching, specialising in stress management and mindfulness. She has grown up sons and two granddaughters. In her spare time she loves cooking healthy food, sea swimming and gardening. She loves a chat in French if the opportunity arises!

Hannah is a qualified Foot Health Practitioner with a gentle touch. She has two young children but when time does allow she loves to get to the beach, potter in the garden, or pop to a cafe for coffee and cake.

Jane started her working life as a mother’s help looking after three small children before moving into healthcare, first as a secretary before transferring into a clinical role. She loves travel and since childhood has travelled far and wide. She enjoys baking, browsing antique shops and a good game of cards.

Vanessa swapped a wanderlust career in travel to work as a Reiki practitioner, spiritual counsellor and minister. She’s equally happy outside in the countryside or inside cooking. She is the mum of a dance-mad teenager and loves a good show!

Janet’s background is in special needs education, and more recently she has worked as an Alexander Technique teacher. She enjoys meeting friends for coffee, reading and gardening. She loves art galleries, especially if they are in Italy!

Mandy is a hairdresser with 20 years experience. She lives in Hove with her family and a scruffy dog called Buster! To relax she loves to knit and walk her dog on the beach.

Kerry works part time for a well known airline and has lived in Hove for over 20 years. She has previously worked as a dancer, actress and fitness instructor. In her spare time she loves to get creative with painting, sewing, embroidery and gardening too!

Angela has experience across the public, charity and corporate sectors doing lots of customer facing roles. In addition to looking after and spending time with her teenage family she loves to travel, cook and keep fit.

Annamaria is from Hungary originally but settled here in Brighton to raise her family. She has worked in office management for many years, but is also training to be a counsellor. When time allows she loves to go to the theatre, and also loves reading a good book.

Helen has lived in Lewes for twenty years and has her children and grandchildren nearby. She has been supporting people in the community for the past 6 years, although her professional background is in antique restoration and gilding. She loves art and craft and in her spare time can be found doing needlework, listening to music and visiting the odd gallery.

Verley moved from rural Buckinghamshire to Brighton in her twenties and stayed! She has worked in HR across a range of industries, but these days supports people in their homes. In addition to walking her own dog, Tulula, she dog walks for other local families, which provides her daily fix of nature.

Sue worked as an Art Director before moving with her family to Brighton. More recently she’s put her arty skills to use designing and baking wedding and celebration cakes. She loves comedy, art (of course!) and dance, as well as heading down to the beach with her paddle board and Floss the dog.

Originally from Oz, Mel is now happily settled in Hove with her family and dog. She has a background in media but has more recently worked in the charity and community sectors. She loves being in nature and getting out and about with the family, but also enjoys curling up with a great book!

Rachele had had an exciting career providing costumes and props for the film industry. She is also a declutterer. She has a teenage family but when time allows she enjoys running, cinema, reading, the arts, and is a passionate protector or the environment.

Julia is a registered nurse and works part-time at a surgery. She’s also a dab hand at decluttering. In her free time she loves to walk her springer spaniel, Millie, sew and indulge her passion for DIY and interiors.

Sonia has lived in Lewes for 20 years with her artist husband and two grown up children. In addition to supporting people in the community she has also worked in the arts field representing artists. She loves to cook, read, listen to classical music and sew.

Anna has had a rich and varied working life across the world including catering, property management and driving a taxi. Having settled sometime ago in Hove in her spare time she sings in two choirs, plays tennis, and campaigns for animal rights.

Laura worked for many years in the tourism sector and is currently studying for a degree in podiatry. She is UK born but lived in France and speaks french. She loves a bit of DIY, in addition to cooking, sewing and getting out in nature on her bike whenever possible.

Denise has been a midwife in the past and is currently a registered nurse. She has worked within both the NHS and charity sectors. In her spare time she loves to keep fit. She is also a keen artist when time allows. She loves all animals and has two adorable rescue cats.

Maggie has worked in catering for much of her life, and then combined catering with care for older people across a range of residential settings. In her spare time she loves to travel, go to the cinema, and is a regular at her gym and yoga classes. Of course she always has a good book on the go too.

Lynne started her professional life in London working for an investment bank, but came down to Sussex to raise her family and has since worked as a teaching assistant and a carer. She is also a qualified florist and loves all things floral! In her spare time she enjoys a bargain hunt in the charity shops.

A mum of two teenagers, Jemma has worked in a variety of settings supporting older people. She’s also a dab hand at gardening, is a qualified therapist and has worked as a primary school teaching assistant. Her love of animals has led her to volunteer for several animal charities over the years too.

Grainne lives in Lewes and loves the cultural vibe there! She has primarily worked in administration and events. She also teaches creative dance. She is a crafty sort and always makes her own greetings cards. In her spare time she sings in a choir and loves meeting up with friends for coffee.

David, born and bred in Brighton, runs a window cleaning company with Gary. In his spare time he’s seriously into fitness and in particular he loves a weight-lifting challenge.

Amanda’s background includes teaching, film sets, casting, and more recently being front of house at a busy cafe. She has lived in Brighton for 30 years bringing up her four children. She loves to swim and cook when time allows.

Ali’s background is as a children’s book designer. To relax she enjoys travel, playing cards, listening to music and being in her garden. She’s also trying to learn crochet!

Cindy previously worked in finance for many years before making the change and retraining as a gardener. She loves growing vegetables and is very proud of her wildflower meadow which she has been cultivating for the past seven years!

Sara has worked in the events industry for many years, although started her working life in the travel world. She also volunteers for a national cancer charity, and is a wedding celebrant to boot! To relax she loves to sing as part of a gospel choir.

Giorge was an administrator in the NHS for many years and is great at all things admin. She enjoys hunting in charity shops, sunny country walks, gentle yoga and bobbing in the sea, all of which counter her love of all you can eat buffets!  She’s also learning Spanish. Giorge adores cats too.

Lucie is a professional chef but likes to get out of the kitchen sometimes too! She loves being outside and adventuring, and is a keen sea swimmer. In her spare time Lucie hangs out with her niece and nephews, and enjoys going to see comedy with friends.

Originally from the North East of England, Nicola came to Brighton in 1997 and never left. Nicola has worked for much of her life in travel, as cabin crew and more recently as a travel consultant. She loves to bake, watch a good film and catch up with friends over a cuppa.

Cara is a singer teacher, reflexologist and massage therapist. She loves singing in all capacities, whether with baby groups or older choirs. She also sings as part of a cabaret trio. Cara also loves all things arty!

Miranda has been a home help for many years supporting people in her local community, alongside her passion for looking after and riding horses. She also has an older dog and a mad puppy! She loves the outdoors and can often be found running and hiking on the Downs.

Leslie is a yoga teacher and artist and loves to share both these passions with others. After years of extensive travels and life overseas she is happy to be back here enjoying long walks along the coast and south downs.

Rebecca loves travelling which led to her importing and selling Indian furniture for many years. She also has a passion for antiques and runs a stall in a Lewes antiques shop. She has a busy life with three teenagers but when time allows loves doing anything crafty. And of course walking the family dog.

Jo is a physio by profession but in more recent years has worked as a special needs teaching assistant. Jo has a large family who she loves to see and feed! She also loves gardening, both in her own garden and as a volunteer for a local therapeutic gardening project.

Guy studied furniture design at college and then taught design & technology for 20 years. Having honed his skills developing properties in Sussex Guy has now set up a property maintenance company with his business partner, Pete. When time allows he enjoys a game of cricket and a walk with his dog on the Downs.

Marein lives in Brighton with her teenage family. She is a trained doula, supporting people at the beginning and end of life. She is also a translator and has a passion for languages. To relax she loves to practise yoga, and is often seen around town on her bike.

Christina has enjoyed a colourful career as a professional hair and make up artist for 30 years. With her four children now ‘flown the nest’ she is able to indulge her passions for yoga, visiting friends, walks by the sea and travelling.

Lynn is a pilates and dance teacher by profession and runs a number of sessions for people living with Parkinsons. When she has some downtime she loves dancing (of course!), painting and photography. She also adores anything to do with animals.

Jules has worked as a shoemaker, designer and more recently as a dance teacher. She loves to dance for pleasure and enjoys cooking (and eating!), and being with friends and family. When time allows she does yoga and mediation and takes long walks on the beach.

Jilly is a mum of two and a property developer with a background in finance. She has a passion for food and loves nothing more than cooking and entertaining friends. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor fitness, the cinema and travelling.

Originally from Manchester, Evie has lived in Sussex for over 40 years and loves to be near the sea. She is a sports injury therapist by profession and still gets involved in lots of sport herself, mostly on the golf course. She loves to get the family together whenever time allows.

Lindsay is a pharmacist by profession, but these days spends much of her time working with a range of charities, including her own veterinary charity in Greece. In her spare time she loves walking with her two dogs, gardening, playing tennis (badly!), and going to the theatre.

Jane is Brighton born and bred. She lives with her young family and enjoys being by the sea to walk and swim. She has worked in the caring world for the last twelve years and loves what she does. When time allows she likes a good quiz and getting down to some art and craft.

Rose has lived in Hove for the past 12 years and loves it! When time allows she enjoys spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors; walking, camping and fitness classes. She is a passionate cook, loves a bit of DIY and is currently learning to make stained glass windows.

Clare has been a support worker for many years, working with older people and also younger people with learning disabilities. She has green fingers, growing her own vegetables, and has taken her love of plants to another level by making her own remedies. She loves art and nature in equal measure.

Paulette has worked in health and social care in a variety of roles. In her spare time she loves to be busy, dog walking or meeting friends for a cuppa. She loves all animals, travel, cooking and eating out, dancing and tennis. But to really relax she says you can’t beat a good murder mystery on the TV!

Bella has spent much of her working life writing and editing, but is also a passionate artist and has run art classes for children for many years. When enjoying some down time she loves to read, listen to music, and get to the odd yoga class.

Michelle works as a part time foot health practitioner and is also a carer for adults with learning disabilities. In her spare time she loves to swim in the sea and explore the French countryside with her husband on their tandem!

Julie loves living by the sea a bit west of Worthing, and has also led an exciting life as a singer on cruise ships all over the world. She has a passion for fitness but also for fun. In her spare time she makes sure to catch up with friends and family.

Sandra has spent most of her professional life in the property business but having cared for her own family members realised it was something she was good at and enjoyed. She lives near The Downs and loves to walk. She also enjoys theatre and playing bridge, and is currently working on a new veg patch.

Elaine’s professional background is in international development so she has travelled far and wide, but is now happy to be Brighton-based, enjoying walks, cooking, fussing over her cats, and when time allows practicing Aikido and doing a bit of crafting.

Cathy, a “champion of domestic life” enjoys baking, sewing and reading, and is passionate about architecture and design. At weekends she relaxes at her beach hut in Hove.

Diana is a retired nurse who has lived and worked both here and abroad. Now settled back in Brighton with her large adult family, she likes to walk her dogs and has interests in gardening, cooking & nutrition, permaculture, art, bee keeping, Reiki, Buddhism and animal welfare.

Sally has worked as a dementia specialist for many years. She has enjoyed travelling far and wide but these days prefers to explore closer to home. She is passionate about craft activities and loves teaching anyone who will let her! Sally adores her daily walk with her dog Willow.

Christine has lived in Hove for over twenty five years now and still loves it! She worked for an airline for many years but is now happy working locally, walking her dog Barney, reading with her book club, and chatting with friends over coffee and cake.

Jane’s background is in creative arts therapy and she has many years experience working in that capacity with vulnerable young people. She lives in Brighton and has two teenagers to keep her busy! She loves to cook, read, walk her dog and spend time with friends.

Milena has been supporting older people for twenty years, both as a home help and live-in carer. Previously she worked as a child minder and housekeeper. She is an awesome baker and has a reputation for amazing celebration cakes! She adores her grandchildren and spends any spare time she can with them.

Tiffany works holistically with dance, yoga and nutrition, but has also worked supporting people in the community. She is passionate about the natural world and loves her spot on the South Downs where she can potter in the garden and relax with friends over a cuppa in the sunshine.

Annie has been supporting people to live independently in their homes for the past 12 years. She’s a practical sort, and creative too so loves to paint and upcycle furniture & household objects, as well as doing repairs and alterations with her sewing machine. Our very own Repair Shop!

Corinne is French but has been happily settled in Sussex for over 15 years, although loves popping back to France to see the grandchildren whenever she can. She has always enjoyed looking after people and has had a varied career in retail, hotels and banks. She loves to cycle and swim on her days off!

Tracy has been in Brighton for 20 years and still loves being by the sea. Aside from her fancy dress business she has worked in care for many several years. She loves going walking, to anything theatrical and the odd music festival.

Trea is originally from the Netherlands where she started her career in hair and beauty but has lived in the UK for over 25 years. She lives in Hove with her young family and loves to travel, garden, and go for long country walks. She also volunteers for a local charity.

Nicola lives in Brighton with her sons and Italian husband, so of course speaks Italian too. She has worked in all sorts of areas including education and the charity sector. In her spare time she loves to take photos, go on long walks, and visit museums and art galleries. She also loves to potter on her allotment!

Vibha is mum to two girls who are taller than her! She loves the outdoors and equally a puzzle or a game. She works as a support to mums giving birth and loves reflexology and massage.

Anne-Marie is a ball of energy! She enjoys anything active and outdoors including walking, running, sea swimming and cycling. Her professional background is supporting young adults with special needs. To relax she loves a good crime book, or a board game and playing cards with the family.

Steve runs a building, plumbing and decorating company. He loves to run and cycle and is happiest outdoors. He can often be found running the bar at his sons’ school PTA events.

Alexa is a creative sort, from interiors to furniture and jewellery design. She also provides support to women going through menopause. She’s a keen cook, and when family life and work allow she loves to walk her slightly naughty puppy!

A mum to two adult daughters, Stella runs a small landscaping business. Her rescue pup gets her out into the woods, fields or beach most days. She loves cooking and, of course, gardening, as well as reading and writing. And a good chat about current affairs too!

Maran is a biologist by background and spent many years in the world of  healthcare. Nowadays Maran works on the social care side. He is a passionate cook and loves making food for people. When time allows he also loves to cycle and play cricket.

Mandy is a singing & piano teacher, and home-tutor. She also loves singing jazz, travelling (especially to Turkey), walking by the sea and meeting up with friends.

Wendy worked for a high-street bank for 32 years, and has since discovered that there if life beyond banking! She loves reading and jigsaws, and can often be found rambling on the Downs when not looking after her four grandchildren.

Frances worked for many years in the fashion industry before setting up her own company publishing sewing patterns and a magazine for makers. She loves anything visual from exhibitions to film. When time allows she enjoys swimming, sings in a choir and is currently learning Italian.

Flic is part Swedish, part Italian, but has lived in Sussex for 26 years. She is a massage and reflexology practitioner. She loves gardening, reading, baking, exploring the countryside, especially its pubs, and has never been known to turn down a good Sunday roast!

Originally from Australia, Vic settled in Brighton 13 years ago to bring up her young family. A dress maker by profession, she’s pretty handy with all things practical. In her spare time she likes keeping fit, the odd pub quiz, and catching up with friends and family.

Gary runs a window cleaning business in Brighton with David, and when he isn’t working or looking after his three children he loves to relax by doing a spot of photography.
