There are times when a visit to the GP is the only course of action, but however brilliant your GP is, it’s hard not to be aware of the pressure on their time. A new initiative called Community Navigators is being introduced in Brighton and Hove. Community Navigators are volunteers based in GP surgeries and their role is to help people find support activities or options within their local community that complement their health care, particularly for people living on their own.
