Time to blow away the cobwebs and feel the wind in your hair? Cycling without Age was launched in 2012 in Copenhagen by Ole Kassow to help older people get back on their bicycles. It is now up and running in 450 cities around the world and has recently launched in Brighton! Cycling Without Age means it doesn’t matter if you have limited mobility as the specially designed trishaw is piloted by a local volunteer making it a great way to get out and about. Over 150 local volunteers have now been recruited as pilots and are ready to accept bookings. If you would like to book yourself on an exploratory ride email hello@cwabrighton@org.uk or call Duncan on 07710 037643. Sounds like great fun to us.

We all need a good laugh don’t we? Well Posh Club is coming to Brighton and aims to do just that. Posh Club already runs in London and other towns around the South East and now it’s our turn. It’s a weekly social and showbiz event for older people who want a bit of old-school glamour and a thoroughly good afternoon out. The Posh Club is funded by the Big Lottery Fund, Arts Council and a host of other organisations because the evidence is overwhelming that getting out and about and having fun is so beneficial for our wellbeing. Tickets are £5 and include all food, drink and entertainment. Showbiz sideshows can include tap dancers, opera singers, comedians, acrobats, hula hoopers, music hall starlets, ballet and much more. Posh Club will take place every Friday from April 13th at the Ralli Hall, Denmark Villas, Hove. Book now to avoid disappointment – call 07848 827806.

You might want to get out and about but not fancy these suggestions. If you would like someone from our team to take you out for coffee, a walk, to the cinema or anywhere else just give us a call on 01273 434190.

Happy New Year!
